Here, for me, are the best Christmas movies that are around these days. They probably don’t feel like the most traditional of Christmas movies but for me, these are King.
For me the only thing that makes a Christmas movie a Christmas movie is that it happens around Christmas. That’s it, it’s that simple.
I’m not a fan of your ‘Santa’ movies or your ‘Christmas on 34th Street’ style of Christmas movies. Make them exciting, make them fun and for the love of all, make them interesting!
So here are my top 3 Christmas movies:
The premise to this is fairly simple.
Man fights ‘bad guys’ who hijack a office tower during Christmas Eve where his wife works.
Lots of action, fun, violence and some very catchy one-liners.
Obviously there’s more to it than that but like i said before, keep it simple and fun.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder
This premise is also fairly simple.
Man fights terrorists who have hijacked an airport while his wife is trapped in the air on a plane running out of fuel.
Again, lots of action, fun, violence and witty one-liners.
And as i mentioned earlier, there is more to this movie than the one line I’ve written but i am keeping it simple today.
A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas
The two have stopped talking to each other when Kumar receives a mysterious gift that is meant for Harold. Kumar goes to deliver the gift thinking it was mistakenly left at Harolds old address… and hilarity ensues.
This is a classic Harold and Kumar movie and one of my favorite Christmas movies.
This is more of your slap-stick style of comedy but they both do the characters so well and it’s a joy ride from start to finish.
If you can watch this in 3D i highly recommend you do so.
And also, Neil Patrick Harris. Need i say more?
What’s your favorite Christmas movies that you like to watch every year?
